Sylvester Stallone is to make his West End theatre debut when An Evening with Sylvester Stallone, previously announced at Central Hall Westminster on January 11, will now be staged at the world famous London Palladium.

The Great White Way is beginning to light up red and green and the massive sign of seasonal merriment represented by the several-story-tall tree in Rockefeller Center further cements the celebration with a brilliant blaze of light in New York City, signaling the season on Broadway and beyond - Christmastime is here again! Yes, indeed! Taking from the vast theatrical canon, today we are looking at some of the most memorable musical theatre moments pertaining to the holiday season with some of Broadway's brightest stars and some of the season's best selections, both old and new.

Ring in the New Year with hits from legendary musicians Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder… performed a capella. On Sunday, January 5 at 3:00 pm, two of the hottest acts in New York's remarkably resurgent a cappella music scene, m-pact and Duwende will perform I Wish… For All Time: Celebrating the Genius of Michael Jackson & Stevie Wonder at The Granada Theatre. These amazing reinterpretations of the classic Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson songbooks are accomplished with only the voices on stage - not a single string, keyboard, wind instrument, or drumstick. This truly unique performance is presented by the Granada Theatre Concert Series, sponsored by Lexus, Montecito Bank & Trust, and the Santa Barbara Independent.

On Sunday, December 15, the Broadway at Birdland concert series presented multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn in his "2nd Annual Frank & Friends Holiday Concert." Joining Wildhorn onstage were Broadway performers Jeremy Jordan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Laura Osnes, Christiane Noll, Michael Lanning, Teal Wicks and award-winning jazz vocalist Jane Monheit. Haul out the holly and break out the Christmas decorations! Broadway's award-winning Karen Mason, from the smash hit musicals Mamma Mia, Hairspay!, Sunset Boulevard and most recently Wonderland will make a special return appearance to her hometown with her holiday show "Christmas, Christmas, Christmas." The show will feature a mixture of holiday standards, light seasonal fare to the more traditional Christmas songs performed in Mason's distinctive style that will even put Scrooge in the holiday spirit. This marks Karen's return to her hometown, which began as a holiday tradition when she was a mainstay on the Chicago nightclub circuit in the late 1970's and early 80s with her longtime musical collaborator Brian Lasser, before heading off for stardom in New York and Broadway.

Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans at The Carlyle Hotel this month with their evening of swinging standards. The two performers, who have performed extensively on their own, gained national exposure together as the host and musical director of the wildly popular open mic, Cast Party, which celebrates talent every Monday at Birdland in NYC, and tours nationally. During their November run at Bemelmans, the duo received critical acclaim, and made news when rock legend Bono joined them in an impromptu performance. The New York Times reports that Honey Waldman, who along with her husband refurbished a movie house in Nyack and a bank in the East Village into two theaters, passed away on December 8, 2013, due to heart failure. She was 87.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra will perform its annual 'Holiday Pops' concert tonight, December 13-15 (Today and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.) at historic Music Hall under the direction of 'Mr. Christmas,' Pops Conductor John Morris Russell. Multiplatinum-selling vocalist and Broadway veteran Ann Hampton Callaway returns to the Pops as guest artist, performing traditional holiday favorites and up-and-coming classics such as 'My Favorites Things,' 'I Wonder as I Wander,' and 'Somewhere in my Memory' (from John Williams' Home Alone).
