It is the 96th Anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Judy Garland on June 10, 2018. As such it feels entirely appropriate to rediscover the music and legacy of Hollywood's golden age songbird. Vegas Theatricals is presenting critically-acclaimed Tribute Artist Peter Mac in his award-winning musical recreation of a flawless triumphant 1960's-era Judy Garland.

The quintessential backstage musical comedy, '42nd Street' brings Broadway golden-age glamour, a large tap-happy cast and a score chock-filled with American songbook classics to Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) in an all-new production. Directed by Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associate Hunter Foster and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont, the musical previews June 29 with an official opening night performance on Saturday, June 30 at 7:30 pm and performs through August 4. Acclaimed North Shore performer, choreographer, and dancer Karen Pisani joins the Marblehead School of Ballet's (MSB) faculty this summer guest teaching a special Acting for Dancers master class.  Dancers are invited to attend this master class on July 16 and 17 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the school, located at 115 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Clarke Thorell will assume the role of Zoltan Karparthy in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY beginning Tuesday, June 26 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Manu Narayan, who originated the role in the production, will play his final performance on Sunday, June 24.

According to Deadline, the biopic about Sammy Davis, Jr. now has been set up at Paramount Pictures, where producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has his overall deal. The project is on the development fast track, soon to be hiring a writer and a director to make the feature film about the dancer-singer-actor-musician to becoming a reality.
