The Drama League has announced that film, television, and theater icon Nathan Lane is the Honoree for the organization's 35th Annual Benefit Gala: A Musical Celebration of Broadway.

The Royal Albert Hall rolls the dice this October with a semi-staged version of the classic musical comedy, Guys and Dolls, directed and choreographed by two-time Olivier Award-winner, Stephen Mear.

This is the final Cabaret Festival for the current artistic director, Ali Mc Gregor.

President/Founder of The Hollywood Museum, Donelle Dadigan, along with Council Member Mitch O'Farrell and Board President Esteban Montemayor of Christopher Street West, kicked off Pride weekend with the annual 'Real to Reel' exhibit that shines the spotlight on the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ) community in television and film through the decades. This year's event also feature a special recognition with The Future of Hollywood Award presented to actress Stephanie Beatriz and the Legacy Award to TONY Award winning actress, Julie Newmar.

Broadway legend Chita Rivera will be presented with a Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre at the 72nd Annual Tony Awards on June 10, 2018. This award recognizes theatre artists that have made significant contributions to theatre throughout their life.

And, the stage version has taken on a brand new look since the Roundabout Theatre revamped it in the 90s. This is not the original 60s Cabaret that had Joey Gray as MC onstage only for his musical numbers. Now the MC takes center stage and when he is not speaking or singing, lurks around, ecchanging glances with the other members of the ensemble.

The quintessential backstage musical comedy, '42nd Street' brings Broadway golden-age glamour, a large tap-happy cast and a score chock-filled with American songbook classics to Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) in an all-new production. Directed by Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associate Hunter Foster and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont, the musical previews June 29 with an official opening night performance on Saturday, June 30 at 7:30 pm and performs through August 4. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret.
