The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to announce VOICES FROM THE GREAT WHITE WAY, featuring one night only concerts from some of Broadway's leading talents.
On March 29th, 'Saturday Night Underground' with Ben Rimalower welcomed an array of New York talent, including: Tony nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Johnny and the Sprites) and Taboo's Liz McCartney (appearing through March 31st in Rosemary and Time at the Beechman). There were also performances by many audience members and, of course, 'Saturday Night Underground' stalwarts, The Dreams (Larry Hamilton, Rob Tucker and Jamaal Wilson). Mark Hartman was the accompanist for the evening.

The evening will be a casual variety show, featuring interviews and performances from some of New York's most intriguing personalities. And the fun doesn't stop there, audience members are encouraged to get up on stage and sing a song or tell a joke, recommend a great restaurant or complain about a bad date. Host Ben Rimalower will mingle with the crowd, inviting people to join the show. So bring your sheet music or guitar, your funny stories and your axes to grind. From 11pm til 2am, join host Ben Rimalower (director of The Fabulous Life of a Size Zero, Joy and Leslie Kritzer is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches), the fabulous Dreams (Larry Hamilton, Rob Tucker and Jamaal Wilson) and pianist Mark Hartman (Avenue Q) for this regular event in the theatre district.
The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) will hold their 2008 benefit gala, 'With a Song in Our Heart,' on Monday, April 14 from 6-9:30PM at the elegant Warwick Hotel. Scott Nevins will lead the evening with his signature humor and flare. With entertainment by Broadway notables including Ann Hampton Callaway, Liz McCartney and the Tony-nominated Sharon McNight, the gala will be a night celebrating music, diversity and support for the LGBT community.
