Theatre Horizon is kicking off 2015 with a re-imagining of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's classic Into The Woods. The show runs February 5-March 1, 2015. Something completely enchanting is happening right now on a stage in Costa Mesa. Kicking off its 51st season, South Coast Repertory---in association with the American Repertory Theatre and the Smith Center---is currently staging the remarkable, re-envisioned new take on William Shakespeare's classic play THE TEMPEST created by Aaron Posner and magician Teller. The visually-stunning, wonderfully magical production continues its Southern California premiere performances through September 28.

The all-new Barrymore Awards Ceremony will be held Monday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. at The Merriam Theater at 250 S. Broad Street, immediately followed by an After-Party in the Commonwealth Plaza at The Kimmel Center.

Philadelphia's Inis Nua Theatre Company will present the Philadelphia premiere of David Greig and Gordon McIntyre's Midsummer [a play with songs], running April 9-27 at the Off-Broad Street Theater in the First Baptist Church (1636 Sansom Street). Midsummer [a play with songs] premiered at Scotland's Traverse Theatre in 2008 and was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009. It has been produced worldwide, including England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and off-Broadway.

Last night, Theatre Philadelphia celebrated the past year in theatre across the region by presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award, cash awards totaling $56,500, and a masquerade after-party that featured performances of some of the highlights of the previous theatre season. Over 400 theatre artists, administrators and supporters attended the sold out ceremony and party held at Arden Theatre Company in Old City.
