Cincinnati Opera Fusion New Works Announces Fall 2018 Residencies

Cincinnati Opera and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) are pleased to announce that their groundbreaking joint program, Opera Fusion: New Works, will host two new operas in November and December of 2018.

The National Asian American Theatre Company, kicks off their 28th season with Stephen Brown-Fried's new adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry VI. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at the Mezzanine Theatre at A.R.T./New York Theaters (502 West 53rd Street at Tenth Avenue) will open Tuesday August 21st (Part 1) and Wednesday August 22nd (Part 2).  Performances continue through September 8th only.

Pulitzer Prize Finalist GLORIA Gets West Coast Premiere at the Echo

For the 20-somethings working at a chic, unnamed New York magazine, the only thing that matters is style, status - and selling out to the highest bidder. The Echo Theater Company presents a razor-sharp, darkly comic drama about ambition, office warfare and pecking orders by MacArthur "genius" grant recipient Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.Chris Fields directs the West Coast premiere of Pulitzer Prize-finalist Gloria, opening Sept. 15 at Atwater Village Theatre.

Playwrights Realm Announces Cast And Creative Team For Jonathan Payne's THE REVOLVING CYCLES TRULY AND STEADILY ROLL'D

The Playwrights Realm (Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director; Roberta Pereira, Producing Director) today announces the complete cast and creative team for the world premiere of Jonathan Payne's The Revolving Cycles Truly and Steadily Roll'd, directed by Awoye Timpo (Sept. 7-Oct. 6, at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project).  This world premiere marks the first full production from the mordantly funny and unsparing voice of Jonathan Payne.

PERFECT TEETH & DICK PIX Begins Previews Tonight!

Playwright Daniel McCoy's new plays, Perfect Teeth and Dick Pix are set to run in rotation at Theaterlab in mid-town Manhattan, July 18 - August 12. Opening night is slated for Sunday July 22.

Rosemary Harris Will Take Over as 'Mrs. Higgins' in MY FAIR LADY

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop) has just announced that Tony Award winner Rosemary Harris will return to the Broadway stage when she assumes the role of Mrs. Higgins in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning Tuesday, September 11 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Diana Rigg will play her final performance as Mrs. Higgins on Sunday, September 9.

Ensemble For The Romantic Century Announces Three Play Season of Off-Broadway Premieres

Ensemble for the Romantic Century (Eve Wolf, Executive Artistic Director) is proud to announce that the 2018-'19 season, ERC's 18th, will begin September 15th with Because I Could Not Stop: An Encounter with Emily Dickinson. Opening Night is set for September 27th. This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through October 21st only. Lincoln Center Theater Announces The 24th Annual Director's Lab

Lincoln Center Theater will again open its doors for the 24th annual LCT Directors Lab, a three-week developmental program for nurturing young professional stage directors from across the country and around the world. This year's lab will take place from August 6-25.

Christopher Lloyd To Star In POUND At The Lion Theatre

Triumvirate Artists, a NYC-based production company that most recently created the Off-Broadway show "Delirium's Daughters," announces that Drama Desk and multiple Emmy Award-winning actor Christopher Lloyd will star as Ezra Pound in their upcoming play, "POUND." The show will debut as a limited engagement for 16 performances from October 4 to 28, 2018 at The Lion Theatre, located at 410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY.

World Premiere Of THE NICETIES Explores Race, Power In Academia

After developmental productions that drew high praise from prominent theatre critics, and left audiences alternately speechless and effusive, engaged and enraged, the Huntington Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Eleanor Burgess's explosive new play, The Niceties, running August 31 to October 6 at the South End/Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. The Huntington is pleased to produce the play in association with two other leading theatre companies. The production will move Off Broadway to Manhattan Theatre Club immediately following the Boston run, and then continue on to Princeton, NJ for performances at McCarter Theatre Center.
