Produced and created by Bobby Cronin, INSPIRED is a benefit concert series for animal rescue organizations across the country that will play every other month, with a rotating line-up of some of today's exciting musical theatre writers in a casual and intimate setting as they sit behind the piano and, unlike traditional concerts of their material, perform songs by other writers that have inspired their work. The INSPIRED series hopes to spread the word about the 2.7 million adoptable animals that are euthanized each year in America.

Atlantic Theater Company's ATC Uncovered is celebrating the 7th anniversary of SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway. The musical began at the Atlantic before transferring to Broadway, and stars Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, John Gallagher, Jr., Lauren Pritchard, Lilli Cooper, Remy Zaken and more gathered at the theater on December 2nd to talk about thriving in an intimate space, performing a 'formative' project at such an important part of their lives, and what they want to collaborate on next. Performers were originally brought to Goodspeed directly from New York City, typically by Steamboat. Though we are now brought by the Goodspeed Guild members in vans and buses, it is still exciting to come down the side of the river valley and near the swing bridge and see the towering Goodspeed Opera House on the other bank.

Everything old is new again! Coming back to Goodspeed after seven years on the road has been wonderful. As I said before, it feels like coming home. Here at Goodspeed there have been a lot of changes; new housing being the biggest among them-- and the new housing is amazing! They all have central air, and private bathrooms with bathtubs. In my other house I shared a bathroom-but it had some old world charm to it. But having your own tub, can really make all the difference after a long day.

This week's featured composer is the one-and-only Joey Contreras! We are excited to share this video of his song Ready from our CEC concert at NYMF sung by the incredible quartet Lilli Cooper (Wicked), Eric Michael Krop (Godspell), Maddy Trumble (Mary Poppins) and Nic Rouleau (Book of Mormon).

The company of the second North American tour of WICKED is thrilled to welcome John Hillner as Dr. Dillamond and Jenny Fellner as Nessarose on Monday, July 1 in Milwaukee, WI and Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible on Wednesday, July 10 in Houston, TX.
