Metropolitan Playhouse presents new solo-performances drawn from oral histories of East Village residents May 18 - June 4, 2023.  Directed by Sidney Fortner and Alex Roe, performances  will be in-person at the Playhouse home at 220A E 4th Street.

The Obie Award-winning Metropolitan Playhouse, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, will present She’s Got Harlem on Her Mind, an evening of three short plays by influential Harlem Renaissance writer Eulalie Spence (1894–1981).

Leviathan Lab, a creative studio for Asian American Pacific Islander theatre artists, will present two work-in-process showings of FULL CONTACT, a new solo performance work written and performed by Ariel Estrada (Producing Artistic Director, Leviathan Lab; BIPOC Leadership Circle, artEquity) and directed by Gaven Trinidad (Rising Leader of Color, Theatre Communications Group) with mentorship by Chay Yew.

In an effort to celebrate and promote the journey of black cultural awareness, three of the most respected nonprofit organizations in Delray Beach are collaborating to present Authors Speak Series 2022, according to Charlene Farrington, Executive Director of Spady Cultural Heritage Museum; Marjorie Waldo, President & CEO of Arts Garage; and Renee Jadusingh, Executive Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency of Delray Beach.

Producer Richard Mazda is delighted to present Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus in a limited 10 show run.  Dr. Faustus is one of Marlowe's better-known plays is based on the German Faust legend and it tells the story of how Faustus makes a pact with the Devil leading to his eternal damnation.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces the Holiday Choral Pop Up, featuring small vocal ensemble performances in the lobby before select performances of The Steadfast Tin Soldier. Upcoming scheduled Holiday Choral Pop Up performances include: Route 66 a cappella (Wednesday, November 20) and the Women's Choir of the Old Town School of Folk Music (Wednesday, December 4).

5th Floor Theatre Company, a nonprofit organization supporting emerging theatre artists in New York City as they build a foundation for their careers, will present Farragut North, a play by Beau Willimon (House of Cards) in its first New York City production in more than a decade.

The ShakesBEER pub-crawl is a fall happening, and like the other programs by New York Shakespeare Exchange, it is entertaining and captivating. The presentations were held on three consecutive Saturday afternoons on 9/15, 9/22, and 9/29.
