A Never-Ending Line, a new song cycle composed by Jaime Lozano (The Yellow Brick Road, Children of Salt), will make its New York debut at the Metropolitan Room on July 24th, 2017 followed by a full run Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre in Greenwich Village.

Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), a global leader in music rights management, has announced that the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop is now accepting applications for its first-year composer and lyricist class through the end of day on Friday, August 4th.

Joel Ferrell, Associate Artistic Director for the Dallas Theater Center, returns to direct after previously directing Othello and Gruesome Playground Injuries for the company.

On Today, July 1, from 7 pm to 10:30 pm, Brookfield Theatre presents Christmas in July: Battle of the Christmas Musicals. This festive event treats audiences to 45-minute previews of 3 brand new holiday-themed musicals. At the end of the evening, audiences vote for their favorite and the winning show will be performed as a full-length staged reading in December. Come meet the writers, enjoy the shows, and vote for your favorite musical!

This summer, FineHeart Productions, and The Eco Musical LLC will present ENDANGERED! The Musical, by Keni Fine and Tony Small, directed and choreographed by Michael Chase Gosselin, beginning performances on July 10 and opening Sunday, July 23 at The Davenport Theatre (354 West 45 Street).

This week The BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop presented its top works in this year's showcase. The event was held at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in New York City and premiered performances of the best of songs written and composed by recent members of this Drama League, Drama Desk and Tony honored workshop. A friendly reminder! The well reviewed, NY Times Critic's  Pick Baghdaddy (formerly known as, Who's Your Baghdaddy?) by Marshall Pailet  and A.D. Penedo has returned to NYC and will open on Monday, May 1, 2017, for an initial run thrugh June 18, 2017 at St. Luke's Theatre (308 West 46th Street). 

The multiple Tony Award-winning musical Nine will open in Theatre 1 at Stage Door Theatre on April 28, and run through June 11.

Like You Like It RADcording cast members Nick Cearley ('The Skivvies,' Pageant), and Lesli Margherita (Matilda) will appear at The Drama Book Shop along with authors Daniel S. Acquisto and Sammy Buck for a book & CD signing celebrating Shakespeare's birthday. Friday, April 21st, 5:00pm event is free to the public. Copies of the script, published by Playscripts, Inc., and the CD, from Broadway Records, will be available for purchase.

Ethan Slater will join the cast in the role of Jerry Samuel in the well-reviewed, NY Times Critic's Pick Baghdaddy (formerly known as Who's Your Baghdaddy?) as it returns to Off-Broadway this April.
