BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present a historic evening with two legendary Broadway stars Anita Gillette and Lee Roy Reams for the first time on Monday, June 13 at 7:00 PM.

Nominations for the 2022 Chita Rivera Awards were announced today. In keeping with the mission of the Chita Rivera Awards, nominators considered shows and films that opened during the 2019-2022 theater season. See the full list.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter Liam Forde – celebrating the release of his first album Great to Be Here – on Monday, June 13 at 8:30 PM.

For one night only Broadway royalty Anita Gillette and Lee Roy Reams will regale Birdland audiences with stories and songs.

The American Popular Song Society will honor Lee Roy Reams in a star-studded benefit concert celebrating the art and legacy of the American popular song, at The Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street, on Sunday June 12, at 5pm.

Karen Mason returned to Birdland for one night only to share her love of songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb in this new show.  As one of the original stars of the off-Broadway production of And The World Goes ‘Round, Mason has a personal connection to these legends and their music.

Jay commenced the first complete recording of the original version of the musical with the original orchestrations by Philip J. Lang at Abbey Road Studios, London on October 5 1996 and completed it at Clinton Recording Studios, New York on October 19 1996. This will be the first time it is released to the public.

Backstage Babble, hosted by 14-year-old theater aficionado Charles Kirsch, is proud to announce the publication of its 100th episode, featuring Broadway legend Harvey Fierstein.
