​​​​​​​Northern Stage opens its 2025/26 Season with the internationally acclaimed, Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away, running in the Byrne Theater at the Barrette Center for the Arts.

The production is well paced, charming, often funny, and yet another example of the fine, high quality theatre Berkshire audiences are fortunate to have available on a consistent basis.

Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Kate Maguire have announced casting for its upcoming production of 4000 Miles, a play redefining family, loss and healing. 

Due to popular demand, the critically acclaimed play GRATITUDE written by playwright Oren Safdie, and directed by Maria Mileaf, will add an additional performance on Monday, June 27 at 7:30 PM.

Oren Safdie (Unseamly at Urban Stages) will get a New York premiere of his newest play, when Urban Stages presents MainLine Theatre’s (Amy Blackmore, Artistic Director) production of  GRATITUDE.

Directed by Maria Mileaf, performances will begin on June 5 in advance of its opening night on Thursday, June 8, and will run through June 30, 2022.

Berkshire Theatre Group and Artistic Director/CEO Kate Maguire have announced Berkshire Theatre’s 2020 holiday season. Directed by Gregg Edelman, this production features Carla Duren (Colleen Haran), Carson Elrod (Glen Geer), Penny Fuller (Lucinda Royal Scott), Samantha Hill (Summer Oliver), Dee Hoty (Joan Stern), and Count Stoval (Hal Polick). As they present the one-act plays, we can clearly see that, as their resumes suggest, these are skilled and talented performers. Unfortunately, with the exception of the character of Lucinda, the material does not provide the cast much opportunity to share that with us. The characters in and of themselves, are thinly developed. We don't have a chance to know them at more than a surface level nor to care.

'What the Butler Saw,' a shameless comedy by Joe Orton, offering a little blackmail and a lot of sexual innuendo, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, now through September 10. Director is John Tillinger, who helmed a recent, critically acclaimed production of the show in Los Angeles, as well as earlier productions in London and New York.
