For one show only, Frank Ferrante will perform his acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in Frank Ferrante's Groucho.

Including many of the original cast, returning performers are Gareth Reeves as Harry Potter, Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Michael Whalley as Ron Weasley, Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Ben Walter as Albus Potter, Nyx Calder as Scorpius Malfoy, Aisha Aidara as Rose Granger-Weasley/Young Hermione and Jessica Vickers as Delphi Diggory.

J.L. “Lynn” Singleton, President and CEO of the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) has announced that PPAC has received the 2020 Olivier Award for Best New Musical for Dear Evan Hansen. The 2020 Olivier Award winners were announced during an awards ceremony on October 25, 2020; PPAC received the physical Olivier Award this past week. 

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will once again celebrate the Hogwarts houses with four special performances dedicated to each house. Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses are the four living and learning communities for Hogwarts students, named after the wizarding school’s four founders. 

The West Coast engagement of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child celebrates its opening night this week and the cast is prepping for opening with some celebratory magic on the stage of the Curran Theatre!

1st Stage continues the 2021-2022 season with The Phlebotomist, a dark, gripping science-fiction romance. In a sci-fi-inspired world where genomics is the norm, every person gets assigned a “rating” at birth  based on their genetic map. Bea, a phlebotomist, finds herself being pulled deeper and deeper into the dark side of the genetic testing underworld even as she falls in love with Aaron, a man she met by accident who has a near-perfect rating that far exceeds her own.

Broadway lost an icon in November when composer Stephen Sondheim passed away at the age of 91. We're still learning more about his genius months later, as a series of in-depth interviews has just been released by the New Yorker, in which, Sondheim candidly discusses varied topics, from abandoned musical concepts to his thoughts on death. 

The heroine in this actor's tour-de-force is an ordinary middle-class English housewife. As she prepares ‘chips and egg’ for dinner, she ruminates on her life and tells the wall about her husband, her children, her past…and an attractive offer from her best friend, inviting Shirley to join her on holiday in Greece to search for romance and adventure. Written by Willy Russell, Cotuit Center for the Arts’ production of Shirley Valentine is directed by Jay Stewart and stars Kristin Stewart as the titular Shirley.

From 17 – 19 February 2022, MA Acting Classical students from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama present their reimagining of William Shakespeare's Pericles at Jacksons Lane. 

By popular demand, Disney's The Lion King will return to Salt Lake City for the first time since its triumphant premiere engagement in March/April of 2017, where the production played a sold-out run at the Eccles Theater.  This exclusive four-week return engagement at the Eccles Theater begins Thursday, September 29, 2022 and plays through Sunday, October 23, 2022. The public on-sale for individual tickets to The Lion King will be announced at a later date.  

The actor spoke on this morning's episode of BBC Radio 4's Today, where he said he 'doesn't have much to prove anymore' but 'one of the few areas left' that he hasn't explored yet is performing in a musical.
