These words from Sarah Hartmann, the director of Playhouse on Park's current production of THE REVOLUTIONISTS perfectly illustrate the heart of Lauren Gunderson's play. By telling the stories of four iconic women who were brave enough to stand up during the Reign of Terror, one of the darkest moments in history, and fight for freedom and equality, THE REVOLUTIONISTS informs, excites, entertains, and most importantly, inspires.

The League of Professional Theatre Women (Kelli Lynn Harrison and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been leading the gender parity conversation and championing women in the professional theatre for over 35 years, will present the 2019 Theatre Women Awards at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012) on Monday, March 25 at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). This provocative play runs February 20-March 10; opening night, including a complimentary wine and cheese reception, is set for February 22.

The play's director Claudia Billings says 'Gunderson in the most exciting playwright working today. She has made it her career focus to bring the stories of women who didn't get the recognition they deserved - to the forefront. The script has found huge success across the nation since it's release in 2011. We are beyond excited to bring it to the Las Cruces area. With NMSU's rich history and research in Astronomy, we feel like this is the perfect story to tell.'
