 The Alley Theatre will present a variety of contemporary plays as a part of the Alley’s Spring 2021 Digital Season. Written by Alley All New alumni and a Houston-based author, the plays include El Chuco Town Forever by Isaac Gómez (April 2 – May 2, 2021), Man. Kind. by Don X. Nguyen (April 9 – May 9, 2021), and more.

The Alley Theatre's Artistic Director Rob Melrose has translated three classic short plays and adapted them for the Alley@Home 2021 Digital Season.

The Alley Theatre has announced the cancellation of all in-person performances of the 2020-21 season. The following shows are affected by the cancellation: Born with Teeth by Liz Duffy Adams (January 22 – February 14, 2021), Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett (March 5 – 28, 2021), and more.

The Catastrophic Theatre is proud to produce Fefu and Her Friends, a signature work of feminist theatre by a giant of the avant-garde, Maria Irene Fornes, directed by Julia Oppenheim Traber. Over the years, The Catastrophic Theatre (and its predecessor Infernal Bridegroom Productions) have produced Fornes's The Danube and MUD, to much critical acclaim. Fefu and Her Friends runs February 14 a?" TEATRX is bringing back La Vida Es Cortos / Life Is Shorts Festival for its second year! The festival will continue to bring Latinx stories to the stage and screen in new and exciting ways. In SENDER, Holter utilizes his signature rich, lyrical, rapid-fire language as he presents a millennial-centric, pressure-cooker of a world that's edgy, challenging, socially relevant, and hilarious.

Horse Head Theatre Co.'s (HH) Houston Premiere of CHURCH by Young Jean Lee & original immersive pre-show experience will be presented at The Heritage Society's historical 1891 St. John Church located in Sam Houston Park (Allen Parkway & Bagby) from August 4 - 20, 2017. The immersive experience begins at 7:30pm, CHURCH begins at 8pm.

Rec Room Arts' newest, original production, GARBAGE ISLAND, an original live sketch show for children ages 2 - 6, opened in February and ran to sold-out crowds for 4 weeks straight. The response was fantastic! Houston parents lined up out the door to give their children the opportunity to enjoy the wacky characters and sustainability-themed 30-minute performance, while they enjoyed a break…and a mimosa.
