Theatre Actorvist's & Chef Hunter Come Together For Anti-Lunch Shaming Event

Debrianna Mansini brings her Italian brand of actorvism to LA 's Hollywood Fringe Festival. "Actorvist" Debrianna Mansini (Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad) will be in Los Angeles in June to perform the LA Premiere of The Meatball Chronicles as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. But the show alone is not enough for Mansini- she will also use the opportunity to advocate for those who need an extra voice. She will be working to raise awareness for New Mexico congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham's Bipartisan Anti-Lunch Shaming bill HR 2401and Senator Tom Udall's senate Anti-Lunch Shaming Act, S.1064.

Five short stories, all written by teens from across Southern Ontario, brought to life by Theatre francais de Toronto, reworked by professional writers and performed by professional actors. The 2013 Dora Awards took place in Toronto on Monday June 25th at The St Lawrence Centre for the Arts. To accommodate demand, the Bluma theatre was also opened up for guests and the awards were live-streamed via 'Doratron'. As in previous years, there was a glamorous VIP ceremony pre-show followed by a post show street party that closed down Front Street. A record number of Doras were given out, with Young People's Theatre's CINDERELLA the runaway hit of the evening with seven awards. BWW is thrilled readers photos from the evening.

Cotuit Center for the Arts will hold open auditions for JOY UNBOUNDED: A Gilbert & Sullivan Jubilee, an original piece featuring the music of Gilbert & Sullivan, conceived and directed by Laura Gardner. Auditions will be held on August 29 from 11am-1pm, August 30 from 1pm-4pm and September 2 at 7pm with callbacks scheduled on September 3 at 7pm. Auditions will be held at the arts center located at 4404 Falmouth Road, Rte. 28 in Cotuit.
