BWW Review: THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND Kander and Ebb Style for Reprise 2.0

Somewhere between its opening of SWEET CHARITY in late June and the end of July, Reprise 2.0 postponed its second scheduled production of its inaugural season, VICTOR/VICTORIA. In its place, the company has mounted a revival of Kander & Ebb's musical revue, THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, and, while it isn't a rarely revived book musical, which has always been Reprise's focus in the past, it does contain a score derived from some of the best songs in the classic Kander & Ebb catalogue (think CHICAGO and CABARET).

BWW Review: SYLVIA at Rubicon Theatre Company

What would it be like if dogs could speak? That's one question that is answered in A. R. Gurney's 1995 play Sylvia, which deals with much more than just a man and his dog.  Sylvia is currently playing through Sunday, May 7 at the Rubicon Theatre Company Ventura.

The dog days of summer arrive early this year, as Rubicon Theatre Company presents a spring production of A.R. Gurney's howlingly funny canine comedy SYLVIA, a love story about empty nesters Greg and Kate, and an irrepressible mutt named Sylvia. BWW Review: DISCORD Is Revelation Lite Well Served

Scott Carter's DISCORD is more akin to an extended SNL sketch ~ longer to the tune of ninety minutes, comprised of a series of XV scenes, and made thoroughly bearable thanks to the whirlwind performances ~ albeit caricatures ~ of its original cast, Larry Cedar (Jefferson), Mark Gagliardi (Dickens), and Armin Shimerman (Tolstoy).

Monroe, May 5-29. I. Michael and Beth Kasser are Arizona Theatre Company's 2015-16 Season Sponsors.

BWW Review: DISCORD at Temple Of Music And Art

If you were ever curious as to what would occur if you locked our third president of the United States, the author of A Christmas Carol, and the author of War and Peace in an exitless room, you'll need to make it down to the Temple of Music and Art before April 30th.
