LED, the Boise-based nonprofit performing arts organization, is returning to the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts in Boise, Idaho for the one-night-only world premiere of their newest evening-length production Jabberwock on March 2nd, 2019.

Producers Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group announced today principal cast changes for the longest-running show in Broadway history, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince. One of the most successful stage productions of all-time, the New York production is celebrating a milestone 30 Years - an unprecedented feat achieved by no other Broadway show. The New York production has played over 12,500 performances to more than 18.5 million people at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street).

After a season of thrilling and diverse programming,The Joyce Theater Foundation, Inc. (Linda Shelton, Executive Director), New York City's premier presenter of dance, proudly kicks off its 2018-2019 Fall/Winter Season with the return of the wildly popular NY Quadrille, which had its debut in the fall of 2016. Joffrey Board Chair Zachary Lazar and President & CEO Greg Cameron are thrilled to welcome former Joffrey dancer John Mark Giragosian to the Joffrey Board of Directors. Giragosian becomes the first former Company-turned-Board member in Joffrey history. Board members serve as the governing body of the Joffrey, providing leadership, overseeing policy and direction, and are responsible for the fiscal accountability of the organization. Mayor Rahm Emanuel serves as the Honorary Chair of the Joffrey's Board.  

Today's subject Ann Hould-Ward is both a Tony and Drama Desk Award winning costume designer. Her work isn't limited just to the theatre by any means. Besides contributing designs for such legendary Broadway productions as Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods and Sunday in the Park with George (co-design with her mentor Broadway legend Patricia Zipprodt), her work has also been seen with many dance and opera companies all over the world.

ROBERTO VILLANUEVA, Founder/Artistic Director of BalaSole Dance Company, presents the 19th NYC Season Concert of BalaSole in 'MEZCLA,' a new program of solos in a broad range of dance styles, music choices and artistic voices, on August 17 & 18, 8PM, at Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55 Street.

Clare Cook, founder of Basin Arts in Lafayette, has been selected to participate in the Hamilton Project Residency at Barn Arts Collective in Bass Harbor, Maine July 6-15. While in Maine, she will be researching and developing a project titled Surface, an excerpt of which will be performed by Basin Dance Collective at the 2018 Arts Summit on July 24 in Baton Rouge (https://www.artsbr.org/2018-arts-summit/). The full-length version of Surface will premiere Nov. 28-30 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette.

Verb Ballets showcases performances throughout Northeast Ohio this summer with captivating choreography and a passionate dance. The contemporary ballet company's Summer Series include performances at Cain Park on June 29th, Heinz Poll Summer Dance Festival on July 27-28th, Lakeside Chautauqua on August 4th with the Lakeside Symphony and at Tremont's Arts in August on August 11th.

An inspired mash-up of posh and punk, Head Over Heels is an unpredictable, Elizabethan romp about a royal family that must prevent an oracle's prophecy of doom. In order to save their beloved kingdom, the family embarks on an extravagant journey wrought with mistaken identities, jealous lovers, sexual awakening, scandal and self-discovery, where everything (and everyone) is not quite what it seems. Juilliard Dance announces its 2018-19 season of performances of world premieres, masterworks in repertory, and new works developed by Juilliard students. The cornerstone of the season is New Dances: Edition 2018, featuring four world-premiere dances by innovative choreographers Stefanie Batten Bland (fourth-year class), alumnus Peter Chu (third-year class), Nelly van Bommel (second-year class), and Marcus Jarrell Willis (first-year class). Performances take place December 7, 8, 10, and 11, at 7:30pm and December 9 at 3pm in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater. In the spring semester, Juilliard Spring Dances features repertory works by acclaimed choreographers: Bill T. Jones' D-Man in the Waters (Part 1); Alejandro Cerrudo's Little Mortal Jump; and Martha Graham's The Rite of Spring. Performances take place on March 27-29, at 7:30pm and March 30, at 2pm and 7:30pm in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

Last night, Live Source Theatre Group (Tyler Mercer, Co-Founder & Executive Artistic Director; Chris Dieman, Co-Founder & Artist in Residence) held its annualSpring Gala, honoring designers Reid Bartelme and Harriet Jung for their outstanding contribution to costume design.  Bartelme and Jung, co-founders of the costume and fashion design company Reid & Harriet, have designed costumes for Justin Peck, Pontus Lidberg, Marcelo Gomes, Pam Tanowitz, Emery Lecrone, Kyle Abraham, Mauro Bigonzetti, and Doug Varone. They have costumed productions at American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Along with Justin Peck, they are featured in the documentary Ballet 422 which premiered at the 2014 TriBeCa Film Festival.

American Ballet Theatre has announced a continuation of its in-house choreographic program with the launch of ABT Incubator. It was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

A classic from Spanish choreographer Nacho Duato alongside world premieres by Danielle Rowe and James Sofranko highlight SFDanceworks' third season June 8 - 10. Rounding out the program is a duet by Penny Saunders, a recent recipient of the Princess Grace award for choreography. SFDanceworks' Season Three takes place at the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. The Limon Dance Company returns to The Joyce Theater with a major revival of Limon's magnificent 'Missa Brevis,' set to Zoltan Kodaly's Missa Brevis in Tempore Belli, and joined by international guest dancers Carolina Avendano and Terry Springer from Venezuela's CoreoArte and Kirsten Foote and Julian Nichols from Canada; Limon's 'The Unsung,' for an all-male cast; Artistic Director Colin Connor's new 'The Body is a House Without Walls,' for an all-female cast; and three short works commissioned by the Limon Company by exceptional young choreographers Rosie Herrera, Adam Baruch, and Yin Yue.
