This July, Reset Series 2021 will feature nine new short plays written by Caribbean Diaspora, and Asian American and Pacific Islander playwrights that explore the courage and strength of women when faced with challenges. Featured Reset Series 2021 playwrights include Tanya Perez, Hannah Ii-Epstein, Phanesia Pharel, Lee A. Tonouchi, Gretchen Suárez-Peña, Kimiye Everard, Jeannie Barroga (Lifetime Member, Dramatists Guild), L. Trey Wilson, and Michelle De Joya.

THE KATRINA COMEDY FEST by Rob Florence Directed by Misty Carlisle, will feature: Judy Jean Berns, Peggy Blow, Deidrie Henry, Travis Michael Holder, Jan Munroe, and L.Trey Wilson at The Lounge Theatre, 6201 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif., as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The show runs at 8 PM, every Wed., Thurs., Sat., & Sun. in June.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced award recipients in 3 of this year's 32 media categories at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards presented nationally by RÖKK Vodka and locally by Southwest Airlines at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on Saturday night. Additional awards were presented in New York on March 19, and in Los Angeles on April 10.

Glee's Naya Rivera hosted the event for the capacity crowd with presenters including Mario Lopez, Sara Ramirez, and Louis Van Amstel. Following is a complete list of GLAAD Media Awards presented on stage, and the individuals that accepted the awards (accepters tentative):

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives. GLAAD Media Award nominees were published, released or broadcast between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010.
'The media has a huge role in growing acceptance and understanding of gay and transgender people,' said GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios. 'As Americans see images and stories like this year's award recipients, more and more are supporting full equality.'

Pacific Stages will follow up their debut production of Lobby Hero with the world premiere of Something Happened, by award-winning playwright L. Trey Wilson. Something Happened runs April 1 through May 16 at Pacific Stages in El Segundo and will be directed by L. Trey Wilson. The press opening begins April 8 and there will be an opening reception Saturday, April 10.
Kesselring Prize for Playwriting announced by National Arts Club

Playwright Deb Margolin -- author of the plays 'Three Seconds in the Key,' 'Bringing the Fisherman Home' and 'Rock Scissors Paper' -- is the recipient of the $15,000 '2005 Kesselring Prize' for playwriting, it has been announced by O. Aldon James, president of The National Arts Club, which presents the Kesselring each year to an emerging American playwright. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Kesselring Prize.
