Vital Theatre Company to Present PEACE, LOVE, AND CUPCAKES THE MUSICAL, 3/15-4/27

The award-winning Vital Theatre Company has announce the World Premiere of PEACE, LOVE, AND CUPCAKES THE MUSICAL with Book, Music and Lyrics by Rick Hip-Flores, directed by Jennifer Curfman and based on the popular chapter book, PEACE, LOVE, AND CUPCAKES: THE CUPCAKE CLUB written by Sheryl Berk and her 11-year-old daughter Carrie Berk. The production opens at Vital Theatre on 76th Street on Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 pm. Performances continue Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 pm through April 27th, 2014. All tickets are $30.00. Vital Theatre to Present ANGELINA BALLERINA, THE VERY MERRY HOLIDAY MUSICAL, 11/16-1/5

Vital Theatre Company and HIT Entertainment are pleased to announce the return of the yuletide hit, Angelina Ballerina The Very Merry Holiday Musical, to the McGinn/Cazale Theatre at 2162 Broadway from November 16th - January 5th, 2014. The show, with book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, music by Ben Morss, and direction and choreography by Sam Viverito, is based on the famous dancing mouseling and her friends created by Katharine Holabird and illustrated by Helen Craig. Angelina and her friends will return to the Vital stage with a special 'red carpet' press opening on November 16th. Performances continue November 17 through January 5th on Selected Saturdays and Sundays at 3:30 pm.

BWW Reviews: Journey Down the Yellow Brick Road to Gretna Theatre to See THE WIZARD OF OZ

An evil witch, a good witch, a girl from Kansas, a talking scarecrow, a singing tin man, and a cowardly lion - these are all characters we are familiar with from THE WIZARD OF OZ. The characters all have a special place in our memories whether it is from watching the film on television and being mesmerized by the transition of the movie from black and white to color or reading the wonderful books by L. Frank Baum. THE WIZARD OF OZ is a timeless story, and children and adults alike enjoy the story of good versus evil. The Gretna Theatre does not disappoint in bringing this classic to life on stage and people of all ages will enjoy the adventure of Dorothy and her friends in the land of Oz in the WIZARD OF OZ.

KISS ME, KATE, the Broadway classic opened last week at the Gretna Playhouse. This production dazzles audiences with its strong dancing and singing. It will have audience members tapping their feet with its memorable score as well as being entertained by the stories of the characters in the show.
