The Bronx Opera Company will open its 56th season with the landmark musical LADY IN THE DARK, music by Kurt Weill, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and book by Moss Hart.

The Bronx Opera Company will open its 56th season with the landmark musical LADY IN THE DARK, music by Kurt Weill, lyrics by Ira Gershwin, and book by Moss Hart.  Performances will be on Saturday & Sunday, January 28 & 29 Saturday & Sunday, February 4 & 5.

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming production of The Threepenny Opera playing at Theo's Howard Street Theatre March 10 through April 30, 2023.

Overtone Industries will present the World Premiere of ICELAND, a re-Creation Myth, an original multidisciplinary work of opera theater by O-Lan Jones and Emmett Tinley from March 24-April 2, 2023 at La MaMa.

Madison Opera brings a jazz-tinged beat into the winter with a double-bill of Leonard Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti and Kurt Weill's The Seven Deadly Sins. Performances are Friday, February 3 at 8pm and Sunday, February 5 at 2:30pm in the Capitol Theater at Overture Center for the Arts.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present the nightclub debut of Blair St. Clair, the drag star, recording artists and vocalist, best known for their appearances on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 10 and All Stars 5, on Thursday, February 2 at 7:00 PM and Friday, February 3 at 9:30 PM.

The Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Music Department will present free winter concerts featuring MCCC Faculty on December 13 and the MCCC Jazz Ensemble on December 14 at Kelsey Theatre located on the MCCC campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road in West Windsor.

New Jersey-based professional training orchestra Symphony in C will present Fantastic French on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 8:00pm. Held at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts in Camden, New Jersey, the concert features Israeli guest conductor Noam Aviel, who will lead the Symphony in an evening of all-French music.

Following up on our last review, this weekend we had the pleasure of attending Eternal Road, a performance about the life and career of Kurt Weill.

On Saturday, November 19th at 7pm acclaimed Conductor and Music Director Charles Prince leads the Plainfield Symphony in the audience favorite Pops Concert, entitled “Life is a Cabaret”.
