Fox Theatricals Brings Home Tony Award as a Producer of THE HUMANS

St. Louis' own Fox Theatricals received a 2016 Tony® Award as a producer of THE HUMANS, a new Broadway play by Stephan Karam.  THE HUMANS received a total of four 2016 Tony nominations:  Best Play,  Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play (Reed Birney), Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play (Jayne Houdyshell) and Best Scenic Design of a Play (David Zinn).  The show received additional nominations for Best Lighting Design of a Play (Justin Townsend) and Best Direction of a Play (Joe Mantello).

FUN HOME National Tour Will Re-Open San Francisco's Curran Theatre in 2017; Additional Stops Announced!

Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman just announced that the National Tour of Fun Home, the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning Best Musical, will re-open San Francisco's iconic Curran Theatre, playing January 25 - February 19, 2017. The news was announced on Monday night by Carole Shorenstein Hays, live from the stage of the Curran, where the Tony-winning creative team appeared on-stage with Lieutenant Governor of California, Gavin Newsom, where they discussed details of the new national production of the musical.

Carson Kreitzer, Cesar Alvarez & More Among American Theatre Wing's 2016 Jonathan Larson Grant Recipients

? The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2016 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Cesar Alvarez (book, music and lyrics), Nikko Benson (music and lyrics), Carson Kreitzer (book and lyrics), and Sam Salmond (book, music, and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, totaling $40,000, will be presented on Monday, March 21, 2016 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

FUN HOME to Welcome UN Ambassador Samantha Power & LGBT Core Groups Tomorrow

Producers Fox Theatricals and Barbara Whitman have announced that Fun Home, the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has teamed up with Ambassador Samantha Power and a group of UN ambassadors representing countries from acrossthe world for a special evening of theater on Tuesday, March 1. The group of ambassadors will attend the show and participate in a post-show talkback with the show's creators, Tony Award-winners Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, along with members of the cast. The discussion, hosted by LGBT activist Cynthia Nixon, will take place on stage after the 7:00PM performance at the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th St).

This Just In - Tony Winning FUN HOME Recoups on Broadway

Producers Fox Theatricals (Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson) and Barbara Whitman have just announced that Fun Home, the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has recouped its production costs on Broadway in only eight months, becoming the first new musical of the 2014-2015 Broadway season to do so. Capitalized at $5.25 million, Fun Home opened to rave reviews at the 740-seat Circle in the Square Theatre on April 19, 2015, where it broke house box office records and won five 2015 Tony Awards.

Mystery Woman Revealed! Meet the Real 'Joan' of FUN HOME

In the 12-time Tony nominated musical Fun Home, a college-age Allison, played onstage by Emily Skeggs, sings 'Changing My Major'- a song about her new romance with 'Joan.' Based on the graphic memoir of the same name by Allison Bechdel, the musical is based on her youth, and 'Joan' indeed was a real part of her time at Oberlin College.
