Barrington Stage Company's 2023 season opener, Cabaret (June 18-July 8), is now on stage. The production stars Krysta Rodriguez (NBC's 'Smash,' Broadway's Into the Woods revival, The Collaboration, Deaf West Theatre's Spring Awakening) as Sally Bowles, BSC Associate Artist Alysha Umphress (BSC's Who Could Ask for Anything More?, Mr. Saturday Night, Broadway's On the Town, American Idiot) as Fraulein Kost, and Richard Kline ('Three's Company,' Don't Think Twice, Broadway's Waitress, Wicked First National Tour) as Herr Schultz.
On Friday, August 30th, SCENERY launched Merde in the Curtain Call collection. This handbag is the 'Break a leg' bag for the dance world! 'Merde' is the word dancers use to wish each other a good show. The bag is created from black drops, called legs, that hang on either side of the stage separating the world onstage from the world offstage and featuring gold metallic embroidery with the message “merde”.

Last week on April 8, 2010, Actor's Equity's 2nd Vice President Rebecca Kim Jordan hosted the famed Gypsy Robe Ceremony for company members of THE ADDAMS FAMILY at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, COME FLY AWAY chorus member Kristine Bendul turned over the robe to ADDAMS FAMILY cast member Jim Borstelmann. BroadwayWorld was there for the celebration.
