BroadwayWorld offers highlights of the several productions which will complete their Broadway runs in January.

Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit, ELF features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). ELF is directed and choreographed by Tony nominee Casey Nicholaw (The Drowsy Chaperone, Monty Python's Spamalot). ELF opened on Sunday, November 14th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). The production will play a limited engagement for the holiday season through Sunday, January 2nd. BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed that completing the cast of ELF the musical will be Sebastian Arcelus as Buddy and Amy Spanger as Jovie.

Although there's been no official announcement yet, while talking to the Rockland Journal News about the upcoming ELF muscial, Thomas Meehan tells the paper that 'In casting Sebastian Arcelus ('Good Vibrations') as Buddy, Meehan says director Casey Nicholaw didn't want someone who would deliver a Ferrell impersonation. 'We wanted someone who would make it their own,' he says.'

DreamWorks Theatricals & Neal Street Productions have announced that a new block of tickets are now available for SHREK THE MUSICAL. The award-winning hit new Broadway musical is now on sale through May 30, 2010. Beginning November 10th, Ben Crawford will perform the title role of ?Shrek'. Crawford replaces Tony Award® nominee Brian d'Arcy James, who departs after the performance on Sunday, November 8th to appear in Manhattan Theatre Club's production of Time Stands Still.
