On Friday 15 March 2013 at 7pm, Digital Theatre's film version of Michael Attenborough's Almeida Theatre production of King Lear will have a fundraising screening at BAFTA's Princess Anne Theatre.

Digital Theatre today (12 February 2013) announces its next release - Tony and Olivier Award-winning actor Jonathan Pryce stars in Michael Attenborough's production of William Shakespeare's King Lear. The production, the second collaboration between Digital Theatre and the Almeida Theatre, was captured live in October 2012 during the play's sell-out run.

Last night, 23 February 2012, host Jan Ravens, performers Daniel Evans, Josie Lawrence, Jenny Jules, Jonathan Pryce, Jenna Russell, Samantha Spiro and Meera Syal, the Young Friends of the Almeida and award-winning theatre company Inspector Sands performed as part of Almeida Up Close, the theatre's 2012 fundraising Gala. Directed by Indhu Rubasingham, Almeida Up Close took place at One Mayfair. The evening of fine dining and cabaret included music by Stephen Sondheim and Amy Winehouse. The Knot of the Heart is designed by Peter McKintosh with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound and music by Dan Jones.

As Michael Attenborough's production of David Eldridge's new play The Knot of the Heart opens at the Almeida, he announces the Company's bold plans for summer and autumn 2011.
