In addition to previously announced honoree Alexander Payne and Cannes Best Actor award winner Bruce Dern, Academy Award-nominated actor Terence Stamp (The Limey, Billy Budd) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award and actress Natalie Dormer ('Game of Thrones') will receive the Discovery Award as part of the 16th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place from today, October 26th to November 2nd. Alec Baldwin, Miles Teller and James Toback are among the special guests attending the festival.

Oracle B*Sides has announced the Chicago premiere of Martin Crimp's adaptation of Ferdinand Bruckner's PAINS OF YOUTH. This co-production with Odradek Theatre Company is directed by Joshua Altman. PAINS OF YOUTH opens tonight, September 21, 2013, and runs through October 13, 2013 at Oracle Theatre (3809 N Broadway in Chicago). Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights at 8PM; Sundays at 7PM.

The 5th Annual Boston Comedy Arts Festival heats up tonight, September 7 at 8 p.m., as Kids in the Hall member Kevin McDonald headlines a strong bill at the Brattle Theatre. The bill also features an appearance by the New York City based improvised hip-hOpera North Coast and stand-up comedy from Boston area native Josh Gondelman, the co-creator of the Modern Seinfeld Twitter feed.

This fall's line-up features many of the best known names in comedy today, including Greg Proops, Dave Foley, Tony Rock, Moshe Kasher, Carmen Lynch, Ian Bagg, Maz Jobrani, D.L. Now in its fifth year, the Boston Comedy Arts Festival continues to kick-off the Fall with an explosion of comedy. This year, the festival runs from Tuesday September 3-Sunday September 8. It will include shows at ImprovBoston and at the Brattle Theatre. The festival begins with two performances from the famed Cambridge Footlights, and will also include shows with Kevin McDonald from Kids in the Hall and Jimmy Tingle. The festival will also see the return of improv from Junior Varsity and the Magnet Theater Tour Co. Stand-up highlights along with Jimmy Tingle include NYC comicsBoris Khyakin and Justin Williams, Boston comics Lamont Price and Matt D., and Matt White the winner of the 2013 Carolina's Funniest Comic.
