On Friday, July 11th, Dad's Garage Theatre Company will be joined by several celebrity friends for Dad's Garage and Friends - a full night of comedy, song, and dance at The Goat Farm Arts Center in West Midtown. Ya heard right - they are producing the most kickass celebrity event in Atlanta this summer (yeah, claiming it'll be better than the On the Run Tour - deal with it, Beyonce). Wait, what is this kickass thing that's so kickass? And just who are these famous friends? Dad's Garage's fearlessly funny improvisers will be joined onstage by Aisha Tyler (Archer), Colin Mochrie (Whose Line is it Anyway?), Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall), Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live), and even Strong Bad of Homestar Runner (via video of course) plus more for a full set of unscripted, high-flying hilarity. What else? They'll be joined by Amber Nash, Lucky Yates, The Atlanta Opera, and Zoetic Dance Ensemble. Also, Margaret Mroczek, clunkyrobot, Travis Overstreet, August Pollak, Ed Morgan and Perry Frost with rock your eye sockets out with their visual art skills during the show (their work will be available for purchase after). And we'll have the finest noshing delights from King of Pops, Pallookaville Fine Foods, and Good Food Truck to fill your belly with. Not too shabby, right? It gets better! This event is a fundraiser for Dad's Garage Theatre Company, so you can rest assured your money is going to a good place -- or at least a sassy non-profit arts organization.
