The Old Globe today announced the full cast for Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway.

ZERO HOUR, Jim Brochu's acclaimed play about the life of theatre legend Zero Mostel, returns to its original home, opened last night, Wednesday June 14th, at the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) for a limited engagement through July 9th only. The performance was followed by a gala celebration at Sardi's with guests including Sondra Lee, Tony Sheldon, Charles Busch, Howard McGillin, Donna McKechnie, Lee Roy Reams, Billy Stritch, Jim Caruso, David Staller, Lynn Sher (ABC News), Jeanne Lehman, Kurt Peterson, Blake Zolfo, and more. MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale), celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, will hold its annual Spring Benefit in support of its artistic programming and education and outreach initiatives at the Metropolitan Club, 1 E. 60th Street (at Fifth Avenue), on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

The critically-acclaimed musical, based on Roddy Doyle's 1986 book of the same name, stars Coronation Street legend Kevin Kennedy as Jimmy's Da. It also features many of the cast from the show's two-years at London's Palace Theatre, including Brian Gilligan, who will reprise his starring role of Deco, and Andrew Linnie as Jimmy Rabbitte.

We're in Dublin and it's 1986. Jimmy and his musician friends are fed up of art school synth music and want to bring soul music back to the people. The Commitments is adapted from Roddy Doyle's novel of the same name (that in turn was made into a cult hit film). However, for a show that proclaims on countless occasions that soul is 'the music of the people' and eulogises about it's importance- it is evening strangely devoid of that very thing.

The Scottish premiere of The Commitments will hit all the right notes as it opens on Monday ahead of its three-week run at Theatre Royal, Glasgow.

Last month the production had is Irish Premiere in Dublin, where Roddy Doyle's story of The Commitments was born, and is now touring across the UK, currently booking until 13 May 2017.

The Old Globe today announced the first production of its 2017 Summer Season: Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway. Based on the stories and characters by Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls will be directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes, returning to the Globe after the great successes of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, which he directed, and Bright Star, which he choreographed.

Humorist David Sedaris' THE SANTALAND DIARIES is playing  at Roadless Traveled Theatre and making quite an impression on holiday theatre goers.
