Boston Pops has released information about their upcoming schedule!

Massachusetts graduating seniors will receive a virtual ceremony, thanks to WGBH, who teamed up with Governor Charlie Baker to honor the class.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic has partnered with Nevada Public Radio for the fifth consecutive year to broadcast a collection of memorable performances from the past five seasons plus two special broadcasts of music from the current 2019-20 season on Classical 89.7 FM Saturdays at 2pm, starting May 16.

This July 4, the Boston Pops will present A Boston Pops Salute to Our Heroes to pay tribute to the COVID-19 frontline workers and honor those who have lost their lives during the current health crisis, while also celebrating our diverse nation's founding values of liberty and justice for all.

Today, Tuesday, May 5, the Boston Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, released a music video, Summon the Heroes-featuring the work originally composed by John Williams for the 1996 Olympic Games-as a tribute to today's first responders who are providing critical and needed services during the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Boston.com, the Boston Symphony Orchestra has announced temporary furloughs of 70 full-time staff members. Members of the orchestra will take a 25% salary cut through the end of August.

The 2020 Boston Pops spring season, which was to take place May 16-June 13, has been canceled due to ongoing concerns over the spread of COVID-19. The 2020 Boston Pops season was designed as a celebration of Keith Lockhart's 25th anniversary season.

After careful analysis of the continued global, regional, and local impact of the Coronavirus, the Trustees of the Brevard Music Center have unanimously voted to cancel its renowned Summer Music Festival, which had been scheduled for May 30 - August 22, 2020. The Brevard Music Center, one of the country's premier training programs for young musicians, is also cancelling all educational programming during the summer of 2020.

The Boston Pops will celebrate the music of Alan Menken with a concert held on May 27-30, 2020 at Symphony Hall - Boston, MA. The orchestra will be joined by some of Broadway's stars who have performed Menken's music on stage.
