Vincent Rodriguez III (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Max Clayton (Music Man), Emma Stratton (Prince of Broadway), Seth Rudetsky (Disaster!), and Soara-Joye Ross (Hadestown) will unite to lead an industry invited developmental reading of a new Cole Porter musical, THE GAY DIVORCEE.

Jim Caruso’s Cast Party (with Billy Stritch at the piano) will make its Winter Garden debut on Wednesday, September 7 at 8pm.  The “extreme open mic” will take place at Pilar’s Loft.

54 Below will host SUGAR, BUTTER, REUNION: CELEBRATING THE JENNAS OF WAITRESS, featuring Stephanie Torns, Christine Dwyer, and more on October 9th. This one-night-only concert event will have two performances at 7pm (doors open at 5:30) and 9:30pm (doors open at 9pm).

Billy Stritch returns to Crazy Coqs with a band new show spotlighting the music of legendary tunesmith, Cy Coleman. He'll be joined this time by a swinging jazz trio – all the better to perfectly celebrate one of Broadway and pop music's jazziest composers.

Birdland Jazz Club will present a special edition of Jim Caruso’s Cast Party – the weekly talent celebration that has been in residence every Monday for almost two decades – to commemorate the event’s 19th Anniversary on Monday, July 11 at 9:30 PM.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Tony Award winner Linda Lavin in a special concert celebrating her most recent solo album, Love Notes, on Monday, June 27 at 7:00 PM. Ms. Lavin will be joined on stage (as on the album) by her longtime collaborator, pianist and singer Billy Stritch.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present pop/jazz vocalist and songwriter Liam Forde – celebrating the release of his first album Great to Be Here – on Monday, June 13 at 8:30 PM.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present John Manzari – the acclaimed dancer, singer, actor, and choreographer currently appearing on Broadway in Funny Girl – in a special event on Monday, May 23 at 8:30 PM.

In addition to welcoming the usual lineup of stellar performers from around the city, this show will help celebrate The Sunday Set, the new album from Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso, recorded live at The Birdland Theater and recently released by Club44 Records.

This week I saw productions of two decades-old musicals, each written by one of theatre's great composer/lyricists, which, in their original productions, ran a combined total of nine performances on Broadway.

For the tenth year in a row, Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch return to Bemelmans Bar at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel with their evening of swinging standards on Sundays, March 13, 20, 27, May 1, 22 and 29, from 9pm to midnight.  Bassist Steve Doyle will once again join the duo. 

WAITRESS, the hilarious hit Broadway musical, is playing at The Schubert, New Haven March 4–6, 2022. The Waitress tour is every bit as fresh and delightful as ever, serving up all the best ingredients of this fan-favorite musical.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party (with Billy Stritch at the piano) will make a triumphant return to Las Vegas on Wednesday, December 1 at 7pm. The 'extreme open mic' will take place at Myron's at The Smith Center, 361 Symphony Park Avenue, Las Vegas.
