Hannah Georgas' anticipated new full-length album, For Evelyn, is now streaming in full exclusively at Consequence of Sound.

Hannah Georgas' new song “Rideback” premiered yesterday at Nerdist and can now be streamed/shared via SoundCloud and purchased at iTunes. Of the track, the site praises, “'Rideback' opens in gorgeous fanfare. Myriad horns wax and wane in shifting harmonies before Georgas' questioning vocal cuts through.”

The lineup for Holiday Cheer for FUV, the benefit concert for WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org) at the Beacon Theatre on December 10, 2013 at 8 p.m. has gotten even stronger. The public radio station announced today that Beth Orton and Amos Lee will join Iron & Wine and Friends, also including Calexico, Nick Lowe, Kathleen Edwards and Glen Hansard.

Joni Mitchell played a rare concert this past Wednesday night in Toronto as part of the Luminato Festival. The 70 year old singer/songwriter was being honoured in an evening filled with musical luminaries performing her classic songs. Originally scheduled to only do a reading after the pre-arranged performances, Joni delighted the audience by performing three songs in addition to telling some incredible stories.

Joni Mitchell is confirmed to participate in an onstage TimesTalks Luminato tonight, June 16 at 6pm. Originally programmed as a 'multi-artist appreciation of Joni Mitchell,' the TimesTalk will now feature Ms. Mitchell with drummer/bandleader Brian Blade, one of the Grammy Hall of Fame winner's frequent collaborators, in conversation with New York Times chief pop music critic Jon Pareles.
