Hannah Georgas' FOR EVELYN Now Streaming

Hannah Georgas' anticipated new full-length album, For Evelyn, is now streaming in full exclusively at Consequence of Sound. Of the album, the site praises, "...a deeply probing record that flows seamlessly between self-doubt and irrational confidence, all without missing an off-kilter dance beat" and continues, "For Evelyn is the work of an artist who's supremely confident in her craft."

Out this Friday, June 24 on Dine Alone Records (pre-order), For Evelyn is already receiving widespread acclaim-NPR Music's Robin Hilton describes the song "Waste" as, "a syncopated wonder with pulsing horns" and "a frenetic, horn-powered jam" and goes on to call the album "immediately arresting." Additionally, Idolator praises, "Hannah Georgas does pop differently. Take 'Don't Go,' the first taste of her third LP,For Evelyn. It tackles profound themes like coming to grips with the mortality of loved ones while still delivering a soaring, bittersweet chorus." Named after Hannah's "compassionate, patient, kind and beautiful" 98-year-old grandmother, For Evelyn was produced by Graham Walsh (Holy f), mixed byNicolas Vernhes (The War on Drugs, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, etc) and features collaborations with Ryan Guldemond (Mother Mother) and Andy Shauf.

Since her debut in 2009, Georgas has released two full-length albums (This is Good(2010) and Hannah Georgas (2012)), toured alongside Sara Bareilles, Kathleen Edwards and City and Colour and had music featured on HBO's "Girls." Her most recent self-titled album received widespread critical praise, including notice at NPR Music, Mojo, theVancouver Weekly and The Huffington Post, which called her "phenomenal."
