WFUV will give thanks musically this holiday season with two days of concert broadcasts from venues as small as Electric Lady Studios and The Living Room and as large as music festivals like Newport Folk and SXSW, starting on Thursday, November 22nd from 10 AM-Midnight and continuing Friday, November 23rd from 10 AM-2 PM. The first day of the annual Thanksgiving Feastival brings listeners performances by the likes of Dawes, Calexico, Regina Spektor and Wilco as well as a broadcast of the Arlo Guthrie classic "Alice's Restaurant" at noon. On Friday, the live music marathon continues with performances by Shawn Colvin, Alabama Shakes, Norah Jones, and Sigur Ros throughout the day. New Yorkers can tune into WFUV at 90.7 FM, while Thanksgiving revelers across the country and worldwide can stream the whole Feastival at www.wfuv.org.
The WFUV Live at Zankel concert series, presented by Carnegie Hall in partnership with WFUV 90.7 FM, kicks off on Saturday, October 27 with a performance by John McCauley, performing with his principal band, Deer Tick, along with friends from side projects including Middle Brother and Diamond Rugs.
