BWW Review: BLITHE SPIRIT by Noel Coward at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Delights with Humor and Verve

There are some stirring and strange goings-on at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. The company's outstanding production of Noel Coward's madcap comedy, Blithe Spirit is now on stage through September 2.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its third Main Stage production, Blithe Spirit. Veteran company member Victoria Mack, who was last seen on the Main Stage in this season's Tartuffe, will make her STNJ directing debut. Company favorites Brent Harris, Tina Stafford, Ames Adamson, and Susan Maris will be joined by Kate MacCluggage of The 39 Steps fame in this delightful British comedy by Noel Coward. Performances begin August 15. Patrons can purchase tickets at The F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre located at 36 Madison Avenue in Madison by calling the Box Office at 973-408-5600 or by going online at www.ShakespeareNJ.org.

Kitchen Theatre Announces 2018-2019 Season

Kitchen Theatre Company, Central New York's Off Broadway theatre, announces its 2018-19 season: seven exciting productions that fit perfectly with the Kitchen's mission to create bold theatre in our intimate space that engages community and sparks important conversations. Beginning with an indie rock musical and ending with a story about a deaf man's struggle to find his place in his family and the world, the season includes comedies, dramas with timely and historical themes, and even a thriller. A special talk back featuring Richard Clark, the Composer, Conductor and longtime friend of Kurt Vonneget will be held after the Saturday, April 28th 2:00 p.m. matinee of Wheelhouse Theater's revival of Happy Birthday, Wanda June at the Gene Frankel Theater, 24 Bond Street. Following the performance, Mr. Clark will take part in a talk-back where he will speak about his friendship with Mr. Vonnegut as well as his experience collaborating on the opera of Happy Birthday, Wanda June.

The play offers up dynamic and often hilarious insight into a capitalist society's attempts to make socio-cultural progress in a world often polarized by its moral and political outrage…or lack thereof. Jean Kerr's LUNCH HOUR Gets Script-in-Hand Reading at Westport Country Playhouse
