Photo Flash: First Look at McCarter's INTIMATE APPAREL, Plus Lynn Nottage's Opening Night Visit!

On Friday, May 12, McCarter Theatre Center celebrated opening night for its final Theater Series production of the season, Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel. Scroll down for photos from the production, plus pics of Nottage visiting on opening night!

Among the guests in attendance was none other than the author herself, recent Pulitzer Prize winner and Tony Award nominee Lynn Nottage. Despite a very busy Tony Award season schedule, Ms. Nottage enjoyed time with Artistic Director Emily Mann, director Jade King Carroll, and the cast backstage after the show, followed by celebrating with guests at the post-show reception.

Ms. Nottage's recent Pulitzer-winning Broadway production of Sweat has garnered numerous Tony Award-nominations including Best Play. For McCarter's revival of 2007's Intimate Apparel, Nottage is being celebrated anew in the NJ Theater Community.

Directed by Jade King Carrol, The cast of Intimate Apparel includes Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Esther), Jessica Frances Dukes (Mayme), Tasso Feldman (Mr. Marks), Galen Kane (George), Kate MacCluggage (Mrs. Van Buren), and Brenda Pressley (Mrs. Dickson). In addition, the all-female design team includes scenic designer (and Princeton native) Alexis Distler, costume designer Dede M. Ayite, lighting designer Nicole Pearce, and sound designer Karin Graybash.
