Capital Stage continues its 18th season with the fourth production of the 2022/23 Season: the award-winning play by Will Arbery entitled HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING.

It is said that Shakespeare's Hamlet is being performed every minute somewhere in the world. Now, you can see it at the Sacramento Theatre Company (STC). BroadwayWorld Award-winning director Casey McClellan teams up with Greg Foro to create a modern-day version of the play that focuses on the intricacies of the family unit and revenge.

Capital Stage presents the Sacramento premiere of THE HUMANS by Stephen Karam. Michael Stevenson, at the helm of his fifth season as Capital Stage Producing Artistic Director, will direct this Tony Award winner for Best Play. The cast will feature local favorites Jamie Jones, Matt K. Miller, and Kristine David. Performances will run from October 16 through November 17, 2019, with a Press Opening on Saturday , October 19, 2019 at 8:00 pm.

Ucross, a prestigious artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts, today announced the recipients of its Spring 2019 fellowships. 54 visual artists, writers, playwrights, composers and more were selected from nearly 400 applicants to utilize uninterrupted time, studio space, and living accommodations on Ucross's 20,000-acre ranch at the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains.

Artemisia's workshop/staged reading of Chewing On Beckett will perform this weekend, May 8, 9 and 10, 2014, and is a wild, female riff on Waiting For Godot. Inspired by the discovery that the Beckett Estate prohibits women from performing Beckett's masterpiece, Chewing On Beckett takes a personal, tragic and hilarious look at the close bond between two women, who find themselves abandoned in a futuristic wasteland.
