Penobscot Theatre Company has announced to the general public what subscribers have known for a while: Janis Joplin is returning to rock the Bangor Opera House through a special tribute show capping the theatre's 41st season. A Piece of Her Heart: A Tribute to Janis Joplin will run for four performances only, June 4-7.

Karen Irwin tore up the stage at The Cabaret at The Columbia Club July 25 and 26. The Indianapolis native is well known for her bluesy rasp vocals and excellent coverage of Janis Joplin tunes. So popular is Irwin, the entire weekend was sold out for both performances, matching her prior visit to this stage.

After two sold-out shows, Karen is back to take you on a rockin' musical journey through her personal transformation as inspired by Janis Joplin. With anecdotes and Joplin songs including 'Mercedes Benz,' and 'Bobby McGee,' Irwin pays homage to the musical icon that changed her life. The concerts run tonight, July 25 at 8PM and tomorrow, July 26 at 7PM at The Cabaret at the Columbia Club, located at 121 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN.
