KISS bass guitarist and vocalist Gene Simmons Tweeted today: 'Thank you, Michael Cohl for offering me the role of the Green Goblin on the Broadway production of #spiderman', along with a picture of the villain. Broadway's Daniel Curry, appearing for the first time since his injury during a performance SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK this August -- when his leg was pinned by a piece of equipment backstage -- thanked friends, family and colleagues tonight, October 21, at the 'Web of Love' fundraiser hosted in his honor at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe in New York City.

Justin Matthew Sargent , the new web-slinging superhero in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, sang the National Anthem at the sold-out preseason game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat last night at the Barclays Center. Sargent's performance of the Anthem lead directly into a 10 minute ceremony during which the Nets retired the No. 5 jersey of Jason Kidd, one of the franchise's best players and new coach, to the rafters. Sargent will play evening performances at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) beginning tonight, September 16. Reeve Carney, the original lead Peter Parker, played his final performance last night in order to begin shooting for the new Showtime series Penny Dreadful. Finley will make his Broadway debut in the leading role of Drew beginning Friday, August 9, 2013 at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (220 W 44thStreet). Justin Matthew Sargent, who has performed the role since March 2012, will play his final performance on Sunday, July 28 at 7:30pm. During the interim period, the role will be covered by Tony LePage.

BWW Interviews: Tony LePage on New Air Supply Musical LOST IN LOVE

Musical Theatre and 80s rock are about to collide once again as a new project gets off the ground this Tuesday in New York City. Lost in Love is a modern day retelling of Shakespeare's classic Midsummer's Night's Dream set to the music of Air Supply and starring Constantine Maroulis and Kate Rockwell. Featuring sixteen Air Supply songs and new Music and Lyrics by Graham Russell, the show is an attempt to merge two mediums and introduce a new audience to the joy of live musical theatre. BWW spoke with Tony LePage (who is co-writing the book with Justin Matthew Sargent) on the project and how he balances it with starring in Rock of Ages.
