Oberon Theatre Ensemble to Present THE DRAWER BOY, Beginning 3/1

Oberon Theatre Ensemble will kick off its 15th season with the long awaited, New York premiere of Michael Healey's THE DRAWER BOY, directed by Alexander Dinelaris (Playwright: "Red Dog Howls," "Still Life" ) with preview performances beginning March 1 prior to an official press opening on March 5 at the June Havoc Theatre in The Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex (312 W. 36th Street) in Manhattan.

Midtown International Theatre Festival Seeks Submissions

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) continues to seek submissions for its fourteenthseason, running from July 15 - August 4, 2013. The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 21, 2013.

Abingdon Theatre Company Continues New Family Series with THE HUDSON RIVER MUMMERS Today

The Hudson River Mummers, led by Henry Chapin (New York Revels at Symphony Space), will take to the June Havoc Stage at Abingdon Theatre Company (312 West 22nd Street) today, December 15 at 2pm. Admission is free. This 25-year old troupe performs all over the tri-state area, celebrating the shortest day of the year at the Winter Solstice and the rebirth of the New Year.

Abingdon Theatre Honors Rob Winn Anderson with 2012 Christopher Brian Wolk Award for THE TENTH SON Tonight

Abingdon Theatre Company, in an ongoing effort to recognize excellence in playwriting, established the Christopher Brian Wolk Award to be presented annually to an American writer of a full-length play not produced in New York City. The award is based upon the writer's demonstrated ability to reach a mature artistic vision using theatre. Playwright Rob Winn Anderson will receive the $1,000 cash award and a staged reading of his script The Tenth Son, directed by Jules Ochoa, at the award ceremony, tonight, December 10, starting at 7:00PM in the June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, Midtown, Manhattan.

Abingdon Launches POP UP PLAYHOUSE with Dream Jam Band's Barry G and Erin the Red Today

Abingdon Theatre Company - the producer of over 77 new American plays during its 20-year history - launches its new family theatre program, the POP UP PLAYHOUSE with a one-time special concert by MyKaZoo/Universal Music recording artist Barry G along with Erin the Red of the acclaimed Dream Jam Band. The live concert featuring songs from Barry G's brand new family album, 'Huh Uh,' as well as some earlier favorites, will kick-off the POP UP PLAYHOUSE season today, November 10 at 11am in Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street).

West Fargo High School Theatre Premieres MARATHON '33, Now thru 11/11

The West Fargo High School (WFHS) Theatre begins its theatre season with the Midwest regional premiere of MARATHON '33 (M33). This new version of June Havoc's original 1964 script has been co-adapted and written by Broadway veterans Tome Cousin and Peter Gregus. MARATHON '33 (M33) performs tonight, November 9th & 10th at 7:30pm and November 11th at 2:30pm in the WFHS auditorium.
