Tony Award-nominee Nancy Opel is set to host Abingdon Theatre Company's Sixth Annual AB*IE Award Presentation at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street, First Floor) on Monday, May 21, beginning at 7:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Broadway may soon make way for 'Lost In Love,' a new musical based on the hit songs of iconic duo Air Supply. The show has a 'Downton Abbey' feel and features 18 classic songs by Air Supply with four new tunes penned by the duo's own Graham Russell.
"DANNY and SYLVIA: THE Danny Kaye MUSICAL", the long-running musical at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, which opened May 13, 2008, will close tonight, April 27th after a special added performance at 1 PM. The musical would have celebrated its 3rd anniversary this May.
Andrea McArdle, Broadway's original 'Annie,' joins Tony-nominated actor Constantine Maroulis ('Rock of Ages,' 'American Idol') and Justin Matthew Sargent ('Rock of Ages,' 'Bonnie & Clyde') for the April 23- 24 industry-only reading of 'LOST IN LOVE,' a new musical based on the hit songs of Air Supply. McArdle sprang to fame in early 1977 when she became the youngest performer ever to be nominated for a Tony Award as Best Lead Actress in a Musical. She has continued to perform as an actress and singer and is well-known for her alto range and strong vocal belt.

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) has announced the MIFT's Short Subjects Theatre Festival, now in its fourth season. The MITF Short Subjects are a repertory of plays running from 30 - 60 min. performed in their own intimate venue, with lower participation fees and ticket prices than other plays in the MITF. The Short Subjects is an excellent opportunity to test new theatrical ideas in a less demanding environment than full-length plays in larger venues.
