The Rock Will Hit the Road! COME FROM AWAY Set to Launch National Tour from Seattle in 2018

Junkyard Dog Productions announced today that the critically acclaimed new musical COME FROM AWAY, which is nominated for 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical, won 5 Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Musical and 4 Helen Hayes Awards including Outstanding Musical Production, and is nominated for 9 Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical and the Drama League Award for Best Musical, will launch a North American Tour across the United States and Canada at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in October 2018. COME FROM AWAY, which has been playing to standing room only audiences, features a book, music and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominees and Outer Critics Circle Award winners Irene Sankoff & David Hein, direction by two-time Tony Award nominee and Outer Critics Circle winnerChristopher Ashley (Memphis), musical staging by two-time Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine (Rocky), and music supervision by Ian Eisendrath (A Christmas Story).

Gambatese and Kready Set to Lead Industry Reading of ONE NIGHT

A by-invitation-only industry reading of the new musical comedy One Night will be held on March 2, 3 and 6 at Nola Studios. One Night has book and lyrics by Kleban Award winners Laurence Holzman & Felicia Needleman and a pop jazz score by David Shenton.

Audiences have a final chance to 'Seize the Day!' - tickets are now available for 'Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical!,' playing in U.S. movie theaters for three days only on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday February 18 at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m. (all local times). Captured live at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre earlier this year, the event reunites original cast members Jeremy Jordan, Kara Lindsay, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, and Ben Fankhauser.

NEWSIES Cast to Reunite at 54 Below This Summer

On August 24th, cast members from the Broadway hit Newsies will reunite on the stage of 54 Below, exactly 1 year after closing. Audience members can expect to hear a variety of styles of music as well as stories and memories shared by the cast.

STAGE TUBE: Brigid & Shannon Harrington Perform 'Sisters' at Huntington's Disease Benefit

On Dec. 1st at Playwright's Horizons, the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Greater NY Chapter held their annual Curtains Up For A Cure concert & silent auction with proceeds benefitting Huntington's Disease research. The concert was Produced by Meredith Patterson, who (among other Broadway credits) originated the role of Judy Haynes on Broadway in Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Ms. Patterson reprised her role last year in the 2013 Broadway National Tour.

The cast of the Tony Award-winning musical NEWSIES took their excited final bows at the Nederlander Theatre today to uproarious applause from a packed audience. NEWSIES featured a Tony Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, NEWSIES was directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, who won a 2012 Tony Award for his work. NEWSIES enjoyed almost two and a half years on Broadway.
