Here she is, boys. Here she is, world. Here's E. Faye Butler as Mama Rose in GYPSY. Butler commands the Porchlight stage with a presence that's both larger-than-life and also at the same time a deeply revealing character study. To say that Butler's portrayal of Mama Rose is a star turn is almost not enough. Butler seems to live and breathe this role; she does not appear to be acting but rather fully inhabiting this iconic character.

Funny Girl - The Musical (October 24) features a host of iconic and timeless musical numbers including 'People,' 'I'm the Greatest Star,' and 'Don't Rain On My Parade', MGC Presents: Red (November 7) sees Alfred Molina and Alfred Enoch pair up as 20 th century artist Mark Rothko and his assistant, Ken, respectively and The King And I: From The London Palladium (November 29 & December 4)features the Tony award winning Broadway cast; Kelli O'Hara, Ken Watanabe and Ruthie Ann Miles.

Previews are Friday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Opening Night is Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The regular run performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Oct. 14, Nov. 18 and Nov. 25; Sunday at 6 p.m.: Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18 with an added matinee performance Thursday, Nov. 8 at 1:30 p.m. and an added 4 p.m. performance Friday, Nov. 23 at 4 p.m.

The New York Pops Opens Its 2018-2019 Carnegie Hall Season This Friday

The New York Pops, led by dynamic Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, opens its 2018-2019 Carnegie Hall season this Friday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, with a program entitled Roll Over Beethoven: A Different Kind of Orchestra. The concert-which honors rock giants including Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and others-features three-time "Las Vegas Headliner of the Year" winner Frankie Moreno who is joined by vocalists, dancers, and a rocking band for this performance. Mr. Moreno last appeared at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops and Mr. Reineke in 2015, performing the music of Frank Sinatra.

In addition to songs from Funny Girl by Jule Styne and Bob Merrill, there will be other Streisand hits and surprises.
