The Attic Theater Company (Laura Braza, Artistic Director, and Ted Caine, Executive Director) returns to New York City for its annual Off-Broadway summer production.  After a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at The New York International Fringe Festival, the Soho Playhouse will present The All-Americans's production of SCHOOLED, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by James Kautz (Artistic Director of The Amoralists), as part of the Fringe Encore Series, running October 5 - 17, 2015. The Soho Playhouse is located at 15 Vandam Street between 6th Avenue and Varick Street in New York City.

The Casting Society of America (CSA) has revealed its first-round nominees for the 31st Annual Artios Awards across the theater, television, web series and short film categories. This year, the Television Animation category has been divided into two categories: Television Animation-Adult and Television Animation-Children. All winners will be announced at the 31st Annual Artios Awards at the height of awards season on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

The first official revival of the play since its premiere in 1986, the dreamer examines his pillow will play a strictly-limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca) Saturday, July 25th through Saturday, August 15th. The Opening Night is tonight, July 30th at 7 PM.

Hero Theatre announced today that the company's 2016/2017 season will commence with Festival Irene: Celebrating the Legacy of Maria Irene Fornes. The festival of plays will be presented as staged readings. It will include some of Fornes' most celebrated works in addition to featuring plays written by some of her students who are amongst some of the most prominent Latina/o writers in America today. Esteemed dramaturg, literary agent and founder of This Distracted Globe Consultancy, Morgan Jenness, will serve as consultant on the project.
