Nimbus Dance Works announces the third year of its annual holiday tradition: Jersey City Nutcracker. Jersey City Nutcracker tells the story of two children's urban holiday adventure leading them through fantasy, adversity and celebration and teaching them lessons about friendship and community along the way. Choreographed and directed by Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott, this adaption of Tchaikovsky's holiday classic is performed by a stand-out cast of professional dancers from Nimbus Dance Works joined by youth and adults from the community as they portray familiar characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Rat King, the Arabian Princess and Drosselmeyer - all with a Jersey City twist! Amidst colorful sets, costumes, a brightly adorned tree, youth and adults alike are touched by this tale of Christmas spirit.

Pioneering vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth--a group of eight classically trained vocalists dedicated to re-imagining singing in the 21st century--has just announced a special free performance on Thursday, October 4th at 10:30PM at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, located on Broadway between 62nd and 63rd Streets in NYC.

Pianist Michael Mizrahi and violist Nadia Sirota will each present works from their new albums during a special evening at New York City's (le) Poisson Rouge on Tuesday, June 12th.

New Amsterdam Records founders, label mates, and special guests from the Minnesota Orchestra will perform new works by Judd Greenstein, Nico Muhly, Missy Mazzoli, William Brittelle, and more on Thursday, March 29 at Bryant Lake Bowl Theater.
