Pianist Michael Mizrahi and violist Nadia Sirota will each present works from their new albums during a special evening at New York City's (le) Poisson Rouge on Tuesday, June 12th. Mizrahi will celebrate the release of his debut album The Bright Motion, out May 29th on New Amsterdam Records, by performing works from the record by Ryan Brown, Patrick Burke, Mark Dancigers, Judd Greenstein, John Mayrose, and a live premiere of William Brittelle's piece on the album, "Computer Wave". Sirota will join to debut work from her forthcoming sophomore album, out fall 2012 also on New Amsterdam Records, which will include the New York premiere of Judd Greenstein's "In Teaching Others We Teach Ourselves" for multi-tracked viola as well as works by Missy Mazzoli, Shara Worden, Daniel Bjarnason and more.

Both musicians embody a generation of young composers and performers who are establishing the new music traditions of today while creating works that find contemporary resonance with the traditions of yesterday. In addition to their critically acclaimed solo performances, Mizrahi is also a founding member of NOW Ensemble, the Moët Trio, and The Declassified; Sirota is a founding member of yMusic, ACME, and the Wordless Music Orchestra, as well as a host on WQXR's Q2 Music.
