Theatre Royal Stratford East And The National Theatre Announce The Full Cast For WELCOME TO IRAN

Theatre Royal Stratford East today announces the cast for Welcome to Iran, a new play written and directed by Artistic Director Nadia Fall and co-produced with the National Theatre. The production has its world premiere at Theatre Royal Stratford East between 18 April to 16 May before transferring to the National Theatre from 21 May to 13 June. The cast includes Moe Bar-El, Nalân Burgess, Souad Faress, Karina Fernandez, Nicholas Karimi, Serena Manteghi, Maimuna Memon, Isabella Nefar, Kareem Samara and Joplin Sibtain.

AUGMENTED Will Tour the UK

Next Spring, writer and performer Sophie Woolley's second solo show is to tour the UK, shedding light on her personal experiences of undergoing cochlear implant surgery after twenty years of deafness. Augmented follows her enlightening, and often conflicted, journey to being reintroduced to the hearing community and how this impacted her closest relationships. From her experiences of going deaf in her teens as a result of hereditary progressive hearing loss, to being able to stream music directly into her brain as a a?oecyborg,a?? Sophie brings to life the transformative power of her Advanced Bionics cochlear implant. Sophie is the director of Augmented Productions, the inaugural associate company of Told by an Idiot.

Cast Announced For MIDNIGHT MOVIE at the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs

Nadia Nadarajah and Tom Penn have been cast in the world premiere of Midnight Movie written by Eve Leigh and directed by Rachel Bagshaw, which runs in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs Wednesday 27 November 2019 a?" Saturday 21 December 2019 with press night on Tuesday 3 December 2019, 7pm.

BWW Review: THE COLOR PURPLE, Curve Leicester

Based on Alice Walker's 1982 novel and successive film in 1985, The Color Purple has enjoyed award-winning success, both for its original Broadway production in 2005 and then its revival in 2015. The show's first international production opened for a limited season in London in 2013 and in a co-production between Curve and Birmingham Hippodrome, The Color Purple is currently delighting Leicester audiences.
