Following a sold-out, award-winning Hollywood production of Tripping on Life, legendary, Emmy-winning actress Lin Shaye is bringing her solo show to New York City. Directed by Robert Galinsky, Tripping on Life will begin previews on September 8 in advance of its opening night on Monday, September 18, at 6:30 PM. It will run through October 8, 2023 at Theatre Row, located at 410 West 42 Street.

The sold-out production of “Tripping on Life,' written and performed by the legendary actress Lin Shaye and directed by Robert Galinsky wins the 2023 Hollywood Encore Producer's Award. Tripping on Life,' will get an encore performance on July 19 at 7 PM at Hudson Backstage Theatre @ Hudson Theaters.

 Rugolo Entertainment and Buchwald have announced the highly anticipated staged reading of “Tripping on Life,' written and performed by the legendary Lin Shaye. Directed by Robert Galinsky, the solo show will be showcased as a staged reading at this year's prestigious Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Performance Space New York partners with East Village-based queer funk dance party WET NOISE for a celebratory 12-Hour DANCE-A-THON (May 5, 12pm-12am), a fundraising event that couldn't be further from expectations of what a "fundraising event" entails. The DANCE-A-THON revels in filthy funk music, endless dancing, community building, and inclusivity across age, race, gender, sexuality, and class. DJs tag team in sets as a dynamic give-and-take, throughout the night; they include founding DJ Amber Martin along with Patrick Johnson, Ana Matronic (Scissor Sisters), Seth Kirby (Joshua Light Show), Thomas Campbell, and DatKat (O.E.A.).

Liquid Light Lab, the much sought-after psychedelic light show that has provided live visuals for the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Gene Ween, The Zombies, The 13th Floor Elevators, Phil Lesh and more, will bring its projections to the Knitting Factory Brooklyn for two nights on December 27-28 in collaboration with stoner-rock band Dead Meadow.

Wooden Shjips have shared “Red Line,” the second single from their upcoming album V., out May 25th on Thrill Jockey. The quartet is the backbone of the psychedelic scene in the 21st century, consistently updating the expansive sounds of the classic West Coast progenitors for the new era. “Red Line” is indicative of the band's direction on V., which shows the group shedding darker tones for brightness and optimism, firmly in opposition to the growing clouds of dread that permeate life in America in 2018. A major key riff anchors the track as swirls of overlapping delayed guitars offer an ecstatic release. As the last vestiges of winter recede Wooden Shjips give us the perfect soundtrack to the emerging summer.

West Coast psychedelic pillars Wooden Shjips recently announced V., their first album since 2013, which shows the band acting in opposition to the dark vibes of contemporary American life in favor of an optimistic, bright mood. The band has now announced an extensive string of North American dates, bringing their peaceful resistance to cities around the continent early this summer. Legendarily powerful in the live arena, Wooden Shjips perfect their hypnotic grooves on stage, with The Queitus saying of a 2013 show, “Beset on all sides by projected oscillations and Joshua Light Show visuals, every track is a 'trip' in the truest possible sense.”

Interactive poetry and art making, a photo booth, and specialty cocktails top off this special event. Additional special guests to be announced.
