Sex is sex and rape is rape. That's the cut and dry explanation we often hear nowadays. And while there are obvious instances where any reasonable person would determine that rape has occurred, there are also those instances that straddle the line between one and the other, where human subjectivity determines the label. Where, as demonstrated in Anna Ziegler's absorbing and thought-provoking new drama, ACTUALLY, one partner can be sure the sex was consensual and the other can be sure it was rape.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced additional details in special programming and events for the 2017 summer season.

The bad news first: the 2016/2017 Boston theater season is coming to a close. Now that we got that out of the way let's spin this into a positive because it doesn't mean our theater options suddenly run dry for the next few months! Right now, companies located in a Western Massachusetts region called the Berkshires are preparing to deliver full-length seasons of theater compacted into just a few months.

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Mandy Greenfield, Artistic Director) has announced additional details in casting for the 2017 summer season including, Cristin Milioti, Thomas Sadoski, Steven Pasquale, Cynthia Erivo, Alexandra Socha and many more to join.  Additional details on the popular Fridays@3 Reading Series have also been announced.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Classic Stage Company's Mother Courage and Her Children will now resume performances Tuesday, Jan. 12 rather than tonight, Jan. 8. The delay grants Kecia Lewis 'additional time for memorization of the script and rehearsal,' after taking on the title role earlier this week for Tony winner Tonya Pinkins.

With less than a week's preparation, Lewis steps into a production her predecessor denounced as seen through 'the filter of the white gaze.'

Broadway veteran Kecia Lewis will assume the title role in their new production of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children beginning this Friday, January 8 at Classic Stage Company, BroadwayWorld has confirmed.
