On Saturday, July 16, the Broadway cast of ROCK OF AGES, including Rebecca Faulkenberry, Dan Domenech, MiG Ayesa, Mitchell Jarvis, Adam Dannheisser, Cody Scott Lancaster, Michele Mais, Josephine Rose Roberts, Paul Schoeffler, Tessa Alves, Ericka Hunter, Jenifer Foote, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik, Andre Ward, Emily Williams and Jeremy Woodard celebrated 1000 performances of the hit musical on Broadway.

ROCK OF AGES will soon become Hollywood's Biggest Party as filming recently began in Miami, Florida for the New Line Cinema Film. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars Tom Cruise as 'Stacee Jaxx,' Diego Boneta as 'Drew,' Julianne Hough as 'Sherrie,' Russell Brand as 'Lonny,' Alec Baldwin as 'Dennis,' Mary J. Blige as 'Justice,' Brian Cranston as the Mayor, Malin Ackerman as 'Constance Sack,' Catherine Zeta-Jones as the wife of the Mayor and Paul Giamatti as 'Paul Gill.'

After a breif hiatus, ROCK OF AGES re-opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on Broadway last night, March 24. The five-time Tony Award nominated musical played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The production moved houses to make way for RAIN, which had to vacate it's home at the Neil Simon Theatre to accommodate Catch Me If You Can. As BroadwayWorld has reported, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will perform for the last time as 'Drew' on Broadway Thursday, September 9 before headlining the First National Tour of ROCK OF AGES, debuting in Chicago on September 21. Joey Taranto will take over the role of 'Drew' at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Additional cast changes include Mitchell Jarvis playing his final performance as 'Lonny' on Sunday, September 5 and taking over the role of 'Stacee Jaxx' from James Carpinello, who will play his final performance on a date to be determined. Jay Klaitz, recently of Lend Me a Tenor, to begin performances as 'Lonny' on Monday, September 6. BroadwayWorld has learned that joining Maroulis on tour are Joey Calveri, Erika Shannon, Angela Brydon, Casey Tuma and Burn the Floor's MiG Ayesa, who will be assuming the role of Stacee Jaxx.

Real life New Jersey couple, 27 year olds Sharyn Krum and Paul Fontana, lived out their Broadway fairytale by getting married on stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre yesterday, August 9, 2010. They found common ground over their shared love of Rock of Ages and were married by the newly ordained, and their favorite, Rock of Ages character 'Lonny' (played by Mitchell Jarvis). The Broadway cast were guests at the ceremony and reception.

Roberts comes to Broadway after playing the role of 'Regina' at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. She takes over the role from Lauren Molina, who played her final performance Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 7:30pm.
