Today the Orpheum Theatre Group unveiled the 2018-2019 Broadway Season during an announcement party at the historic Orpheum Theatre. Attendees were the first to hear about next season's exciting offerings that includes July 2019 dates for HAMILTON.

Coming next season to Milwaukee is the brand-new original comedy smash SOMETHING ROTTEN!, "Broadway's big fat hit" (New York Post), the magical production of Dr. Seuss' classic holiday tale, DR. SEUSS' HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL, the fresh, new production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I, based on the 2015 Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center Theater production, the Broadway musical based on the true story of a small town, COME FROM AWAY, and the new musical based on the beloved films and romantic story of ANASTASIA. The spectacular new production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will make a triumphant return to Milwaukee for a two- week engagement and back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON will return for a limited one - week engagement.

Denver Center for the Performing Arts Broadway proudly announces the 2018/19 season, kicking off with the national tour launch of the 2017 Tony & Grammy-winning Best Musical, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, at The Buell Theatre September 25 through October 13, 2018. Joining DEAR EVAN HANSEN is the 2017 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, HELLO, DOLLY!, starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley, and the first national tours of COME FROM AWAY, A BRONX TALE, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, ROALD DAHL'S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and ANASTASIA. Maurer Productions OnStage (MPO) is about to celebrate life, tradition, matchmakers and miracles as the award-winning company presents the beloved Broadway classic "Fiddler on the Roof." Tevye and all the villagers from Anatevka take up residence at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, March 16 and 23 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, March 17 and 24 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, March 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. (Matinee performances are sold out.)

(October 9-14, 2018), based on the story and music of 26-time Grammy Award-winning icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan; the 10-time Tony Award-nominated hilarious new musical smash SOMETHING ROTTEN! (January 29-February 3, 2019); Andrew Lloyd Webber's beloved iconic musical CATS (February 19-24, 2019); the hit Broadway musical DISNEY'S ALADDIN (April 10-21, 2019); the stunning new production of the acclaimed Tony Award-winning musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (May 21-26, 2019); and the brand-new Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway and West End smash hit SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL (June 4-9, 2019). This past Hanukkah I witnessed a kind of miracle in modern times: Toho Stage's Fiddler on the Roof, performed in Japanese by an all Asian company. The quintessential Jewish musical set in Imperial Russia in 1905 is based on Tevye and his Daughters and other tales by Sholem Aleichem about a poor dairyman's attempts to maintain his cultural and religious traditions in a changing world.

The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) has announced it will present the American premiere of the Yiddish language adaptation of Fiddler on The Roof. Adapted by Shraga Friedman, this Yiddish version of Fiddler on the Roof has not been staged since its world premiere production in Israel more than 50 years ago. Performances are set to begin in July 2018 in the Edmond J. Safra Theatre at the Museum of Jewish Heritage (36 Battery Place).

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for The Muny's 2018 centennial season, which opens on June 11 with the first production in the world of Jerome Robbins' Broadway since it's Tony - award winning Broadway and national tour productions.

The York Theatre Company honored legendary musical theatre writing team Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt (The Fantasticks, I Do, I Do!, 110 in the Shade, Celebration) with the 2017 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre at the 26th Oscar Hammerstein Award Gala on Monday evening, December 4, 2017 at The Asia Society (725 Park Avenue).
