Burgess, Fowler & More Announced for NEO6 Concert at York 5/10

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director) will present NEO6, a benefit concert celebrating New, Emerging, Outstanding musical theatre writers, on Monday, May 10 at its home in Saint Peter's Theatre. Following the 7:30 PM performance (featuring the voices of many of today's top musical theatre talent), there will be a champagne and dessert reception to end the evening.

A concert version of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Once On This Island will hit the stage on May 16th at 7:30pm at the York Theatre. The concert will be performed in connection with Asian Heritage Month and will be directed by original cast member Gerry McIntyre. Randy Redd will serve as musical director.

SONY MASTERWORKS partners with Tony®-nominated composer/producer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War, Dracula and Victor/Victoria) and Soul Bear Records on the marketing, promotion, and distribution of Wildhorn's national and international theatre recordings. Within this partnership, SONY MASTERWORKS and Wildhorn will create a home to find, nurture, develop, and market new talent. Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure, the first recording to be released through this partnership, will be available through all major digital service providers on March 30.

On Sunday, March 28, 2010, Broadway's Ann Harada, Christine Toy Johnson, Raymond J. Lee, Deborah Lew, Jose Llana and Ann Sanders will sing in A HELLUVA TOWN, a concert to benefit the documentary film, TRANSCENDING - THE WAT MISAKA STORY and celebrate the release of the DVD. The concert, directed by Tony Award winner Michele Pawk with musical direction by Marco Paguia, will feature songs from the 1946-47 Broadway season.

Prospect Theater Company will present a benefit concert reading of their 2008 hit musical, HONOR, at Baruch Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 6pm.
